Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a virtual ceremony from the Jalandhar Cantt railway station in Punjab, marking the inauguration of 75 redeveloped railway stations across the nation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary participated in the event via video conferencing from the 'Sankalp Sabhagar' located at Lok Seva Kendra.
During the event, the Chief Minister expressed that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian Railways is continuously evolving into a modern, secure, and passenger-centric transportation system. Significant efforts are being made to enhance railway infrastructure while providing world-class amenities to travelers. The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme aims not only at modernizing the buildings but also represents a comprehensive initiative to offer passengers a better, safer, and more convenient travel experience. This initiative is expected to boost the local economy, tourism, trade, and regional development.
The Chief Minister also shared his happiness regarding the redevelopment of the Shivnarayanpur railway station on the Bhagalpur-Sahibganj rail line, which has been upgraded with modern facilities. This improvement will provide enhanced services to local travelers and further support regional development. He extended heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people of Bihar to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the honorable Railway Minister for this significant achievement.
