Vadodara/Bengaluru, May 23: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented over 51,000 appointment letters to newly hired individuals across various government sectors during the 19th Rozgar Mela, which took place at 47 locations nationwide. The newly appointed youths in Vadodara and Bengaluru expressed their joy and gratitude upon receiving their letters.
In Vadodara, the event was graced by Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil as the chief guest, while Prime Minister Modi participated virtually, addressing the new recruits.
Appointment letters were issued to candidates from multiple government sectors, including Railways, Postal Services, Banking, and Healthcare. The event fostered a celebratory atmosphere among the youths and their families, who viewed this government employment initiative as a vital source of support and stability.
Sanjay Singh, one of the recipients, shared his joy, stating, “I am thrilled to have received this job. I am thankful to Prime Minister Modi,” he remarked.
Another candidate expressed, “I am incredibly happy and proud to receive this appointment letter today. This is a memorable moment for my family and me.”
In Bengaluru, Union Minister for MSME, Shobha Karandlaje, attended the Rozgar Mela, where 84 candidates received their appointment letters.
Before the distribution ceremony, Prime Minister Modi addressed the new appointees via video conferencing. Many candidates mentioned that the Prime Minister’s speech inspired and motivated them as they embark on their public service careers.
One recipient in Bengaluru noted, “I feel fortunate to have this job opportunity. My parents are very proud of me.”
Kavya, who was appointed as a junior engineer in the Indian Railways, expressed her excitement, saying, “I am delighted to have received this job. Hearing Prime Minister Modi’s address during the event made me feel blessed.”
During his virtual address, PM Modi stated, "Today, over 51,000 youths have received appointment letters for government positions, and you all are becoming essential partners in the nation's 'Vikas Yatra'... You will play a crucial role in realizing the vision for a developed India in the years ahead."
He added, "Reaching this milestone required significant preparation and effort from all of you. I congratulate you and your families on this accomplishment. The support of parents and family is vital in achieving this stage, but it is not just the family; society also plays a significant role in your success. We do not arrive at this point solely due to our own efforts or those of our families. The contributions of 140 crore citizens of this great nation are also immensely important," he concluded.
