Prime Minister Modi Commends Young Scholar for Completing Vedic Chanting
Recognition of a Remarkable Achievement
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised 19-year-old Vedamurti Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe for completing the chanting of 2,000 mantras from the Madhyandini branch of the Shukla Yajurveda over a span of 50 uninterrupted days. Modi described this accomplishment as one that future generations will remember with pride. He expressed that every individual connected to Indian culture should feel honored by Rekhe's dedication in achieving this remarkable feat.
Modi elaborated that this endeavor involved the flawless pronunciation of numerous Vedic verses and sacred words, showcasing the finest aspects of our guru tradition. As the Member of Parliament for Kashi, he expressed his joy that such an extraordinary achievement took place in this holy city. He extended his respects to Rekhe's family, various saints, sages, scholars, and organizations across India that supported him.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the enduring relevance of Sanatan culture and its impact on human development during his visit to the Siddh Baba Palanath Ashram in Jhajjar, Haryana, where he participated in a Prana Pratishtha and Atma Bhandara ceremony.
Addressing the gathered crowd, the Chief Minister stated that Sanatan culture is the oldest in the world and has significantly shaped human development. He noted the diversity in worship practices and traditions of knowledge-sharing, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Nath sect in this heritage. From the Shiva of Kailash to the temple of Rameshwaram, these elements unite us.
Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi also conducted a 'Janata Darshan' at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, where he interacted with people from the district, reviewed their applications, and assured them of timely resolutions. He also engaged with children present at the event. On November 16, he held another public meeting in Lucknow, where he listened to complaints from women and children, promising them assistance and prompt action.
