Prime Minister Modi Commemorates Independence Day at Rajghat
Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Independence Day
On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Rajghat to pay homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. After departing from his official residence, Modi went directly to Rajghat, where he laid floral tributes at Gandhi's memorial.
Prior to this, the Prime Minister extended his greetings for Independence Day, urging citizens to work even harder towards building a developed India.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, he stated, “Warm wishes to everyone on Independence Day. This day should inspire us to realize the dreams of our freedom fighters and to strive harder for a developed India. Jai Hind.” He added in another post, “I hope this occasion brings renewed energy and enthusiasm to all citizens, accelerating the journey towards a developed India. Jai Hind!”
On this significant anniversary, the Prime Minister will lead the 79th Independence Day celebrations from the Red Fort, marking his 12th consecutive time hoisting the national flag and addressing the nation from the historic ramparts.
