Celebrating Navy Day

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to all personnel of the Indian Navy on the occasion of Navy Day. He commended the Navy's growing self-reliance, determination, and bravery in safeguarding the nation's maritime boundaries. Navy Day is celebrated annually on December 4 to honor the achievements of the Indian Navy and its contributions to national security. This date symbolizes the Navy's success during the 1971 war, particularly the significant blow dealt to the Pakistani Navy when the Indian forces sank four Pakistani ships, including PNS Khyber, under Operation Trident.
