Prime Minister Modi Calls for Major Reforms to Combat Exam Paper Leaks

Addressing the Issue of Exam Paper Leaks

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the urgent need for extensive reforms in the education system at both the central and state levels to tackle the issue of exam paper leaks. He asserted that there would be no leniency towards gangs that jeopardize children's futures. In a video message shared on Instagram shortly after the Parliament passed a bill amending the anti-paper leak law, Modi highlighted that incidents of paper leaks during various examinations have posed significant challenges not only for students but also for the central government and several states.

The Prime Minister noted, "For several years, both the central government and many states have been grappling with the problem of exam paper leaks." He pointed out that this issue has endangered the futures of children participating in various exams. Modi stated, "Therefore, it has become essential to implement substantial changes in the education system to address this problem."

Referring to the anti-paper leak bill that was passed by the Lok Sabha on Wednesday and the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Modi mentioned that a robust law has now been introduced to tackle this issue as promised. He declared, "Those involved in paper leak gangs and mafias that play with children's futures will not be spared."

Discussing the government's initiatives, Modi revealed that a task force has been established, fast-track courts are being set up, and suggestions are being sought from states to strengthen the examination process and prevent irregularities.

He reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that students receive equal and fair opportunities. Modi concluded, "We will not allow incidents of paper leaks to continue unchecked. Our campaign against this issue will persist in the future."
