On Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu expressed her sorrow over the passing of former Union Minister Kabindra Purkayastha, highlighting his contributions to the development of Assam.
Purakayastha, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), passed away at the age of 94 due to age-related health issues at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
