Artistic Exchange at Rashtrapati Bhavan

On Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu welcomed a group of artists from Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal at Rashtrapati Bhavan. According to a statement from the President's office, these 29 artists participated in a residency program held from July 14 to July 24.


The statement further elaborated that these artists were part of the second edition of the Art Festival 2025 - Residential Artist Program at Rashtrapati Bhavan.


This initiative celebrates the essence of India's artistic traditions, reaffirming the vital role of vibrant art forms in preserving cultural identity and inspiring future generations. The festival also provided a platform for folk, tribal, and traditional artists who have sustained various art forms across generations.


During the residency, President Murmu also viewed an exhibition showcasing the artworks created by the artists. She praised their contributions to India's significant traditional art sectors and wished them success in their future artistic endeavors.
