President Murmu's Message on Goa Liberation Day

In her message, Murmu expressed admiration for the unwavering commitment and dedication of freedom fighters and armed forces, stating, “I wish the people of Goa a bright and prosperous future. On Goa Liberation Day, the nation gratefully remembers those brave souls who fought relentlessly to free Goa from colonial domination.”


Every year on December 19, Goa Liberation Day is commemorated to honor the success of Operation Vijay, which liberated Goa from Portuguese rule in 1961.
