President Murmu and PM Modi to Attend Odisha Government's Two-Year Celebration

On June 20, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a ceremony marking the completion of two years of the Odisha government, taking place in Rayagada district's Rayagpur. This information was shared in an official statement.
The Chief Minister's office announced on Tuesday that a grand public gathering will be organized in Rayagpur, the hometown of President Murmu, for this occasion.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level review meeting, directing officials to ensure all preparations, including security arrangements, public amenities, traffic management, and adequate parking facilities. He emphasized the need for special attention to ensure the smooth and successful execution of the event, given the presence of both the President and the Prime Minister.
According to the statement, during the event, both leaders may inaugurate and lay the foundation for several significant development projects in the state.
Senior officials present at the meeting included Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner D.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hemant Sharma, and the Chief Minister's Additional Chief Secretary Shashwat Mishra. MP Navcharan Majhi mentioned that President Murmu is expected to arrive in Rayagpur on June 19, while PM Modi will join the event on June 20.
MP Majhi noted, “Preparations for this grand event have already begun. This will be the first time that both the President and the Prime Minister will be present together at an event in the remote town of Rayagpur, Odisha.”
