A Prestigious Event for Healthcare Graduates


Bhubaneswar: On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu is set to participate in the fifth convocation ceremony at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, as confirmed by an official announcement.


During the event, she will present 59 gold medals to 31 distinguished students and award degrees to a total of 643 healthcare professionals.


In a press briefing held on Saturday, Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, stated, “The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will honor us as the Chief Guest and bless the graduating class with her esteemed presence.”


The ceremony will also see the attendance of Odisha's Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with various Union ministers.


Established in 2003, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has emerged as a beacon of trust, not just within Odisha but also in neighboring states, as it strives to address regional disparities in tertiary healthcare, according to Biswas.


In preparation for the President's visit, Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Director General of Police YB Khurania inspected the AIIMS Bhubaneswar campus.
