President's Visit to Bareilly

On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu will serve as the chief guest at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) convocation ceremony, taking place at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium in Bareilly, as confirmed by officials.


The event is expected to be attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, two governors, and several central ministers. President Murmu is visiting Uttar Pradesh for two days and will address the 11th convocation at IVRI before heading to Gorakhpur.


During her two-day visit, the President will participate in multiple events. According to IVRI Director Dr. Triveni Datt, upon her arrival at the airport from Delhi, she will be formally welcomed by Chief Minister Yogi and Governor Anandiben Patel.


Also likely to attend the program are Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirat Chaudhary, and ICAR Director General Mangilal Jat.


Robust security measures have been implemented for the President's visit. Gangwar, a resident of Bareilly, personally inspected the arrangements at IVRI on Saturday.


An official reported that the security detail includes five Superintendents of Police (SP), nine Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP), 18 Circle Officers (CO), 55 Inspectors, 250 Sub-Inspectors, 300 female constables, 700 male head constables, and four companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC).


Following the ceremony in Bareilly, President Murmu will attend the first convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Gorakhpur, where she will award medals to outstanding students.


On Tuesday morning, she will inaugurate the first Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University in Pipri Bhatahat, and in the afternoon, she will inaugurate the academic building, auditorium, and Panchakarma center at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Arogya Dham in Sonbarsa, along with laying the foundation stone for a girls' hostel. Additionally, she will visit the Gorakhnath Temple at different times on both days for worship and to receive prasad.
