Key Meeting Held to Discuss Visit Preparations


On July 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Rajasthan, prompting Chief Secretary V. Srinivasan to convene a meeting with relevant officials on Tuesday to outline necessary preparations.


Officials from various departments, including police, home affairs, energy, mines and petroleum, information technology, and water resources, were present. Additionally, divisional commissioners, police inspectors general, district collectors, and superintendents of police from the respective districts participated via video conferencing. The Chief Secretary reviewed the preparations made so far, engaged with officials and district administration, and instructed that all arrangements related to the Prime Minister's upcoming visit be timely, coordinated, and efficient.


Detailed Briefing on Preparedness

During the meeting, all relevant officials provided updates on the preparations for Prime Minister Modi's proposed events. They presented detailed plans regarding the venue, traffic management, drinking water supply, electricity, information technology, medical services, sanitation, and other essential arrangements. The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of maintaining effective coordination among departments to finalize each arrangement and avoid any lapses.


Inauguration of Pachpadra Refinery

Notably, during his visit to Rajasthan, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the refinery in Pachpadra, located in the Balotra district. He will also launch and lay the foundation for various development projects worth over ₹1.01 lakh crore. Furthermore, appointment letters will be distributed to more than 53,000 selected candidates for various government services. Officials presented information on the preparations being made to ensure the successful execution of these events.


Security Arrangements Confirmed

Rajiv Sharma, the Director General of Police for Rajasthan, who joined the meeting via video conference, confirmed that all security measures for the Prime Minister's visit on July 4 have been thoroughly arranged, with security agencies working in coordination. Abhay Kumar Singh, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department, stated that all necessary preparations for the Prime Minister's visits to Jodhpur and Balotra are being completed on time, with departments collaborating to ensure a successful and smooth event.
