Independence Day Preparations in Chamba

A meeting to review the plans for the upcoming district-level Independence Day celebrations took place today at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, led by Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal.


The Deputy Commissioner urged all district officials to make arrangements that reflect the significance of the occasion. The celebrations are set to occur at the historic Chaugan ground in Chamba. Extensive discussions were conducted regarding various elements of the event, and officials were tasked with ensuring effective collaboration in their duties. Attendance for all district officers at the ceremony is compulsory.


It was confirmed that participants in the march past will include contingents from the Police, Home Guards, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, PM Shri Government Excellence Boys Senior Secondary School, PM Shri Adarsh Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Government Degree College Chamba, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, and the Forest Department. Additionally, cultural performances will be featured, and outstanding officials and employees will be recognized during the event.


Attendees of the meeting included Superintendent of Police Vijay Saklani, Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Mehra, Assistant Commissioner Manmohan Singh, SDM Chirag Sharma, along with various departmental officers.
