Excitement Builds for Army Day in Jaipur

Jaipur, January 9, 2026: The capital of Rajasthan is buzzing with preparations for the 78th Army Day. Today, a full dress rehearsal for the Army Day Parade 2026 took place on Mahal Road in Jagatpura, marking a significant moment as it was open to the public for the first time outside a military area. This historic event will culminate with the main parade on January 15, but the rehearsal on January 9 has already ignited a wave of enthusiasm and patriotism throughout the city.


Highlights of the Rehearsal

Running from 10 AM to 12:25 PM, the rehearsal showcased the might of the Indian Army. Key attractions included:


Tanks, BrahMos missiles and a display of modern weaponry.


Robotic dogs (the 'soldier dogs' wearing goggles) captured everyone's attention.


Motorcycle stunts and a spectacular band performance.


Marching soldiers and a live demonstration of drone technology.


Bhairav Battalion (a new special force) made its debut, specializing in drone warfare.


Public Participation

Thousands of citizens registered to witness the rehearsal up close. Despite the fog and biting cold, the enthusiasm of the attendees remained high. One spectator expressed pride, stating, "Seeing tanks and missiles up close for the first time fills me with pride!"


Registration and Security Guidelines

Online registration was mandatory for this rehearsal. Individuals could log in at sso.rajasthan.gov.in using their SSO ID and select 'Army Day Parade Registration' to book their slots. The same process applies for the main parade on January 15 and the remaining rehearsals on January 11 and 13.


Strict Security Measures

Security regulations are stringent:


No drones, cameras, bags, purses, sharp objects, or flammable materials are allowed.


A valid government ID is required.


Attendees must arrive by 8:45 AM and cannot leave during the event.
