Gujarat Titans Dominate Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026

In a thrilling encounter at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Sunday, Gujarat Titans' pacer Prasidh Krishna showcased his bowling prowess by taking four wickets, helping his team limit Lucknow Super Giants to a total of 164 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs during the IPL 2026 match.

Krishna's impressive bowling figures of 4 wickets for 28 runs in 4 overs included the scalps of LSG opener Aiden Markram, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, and Mukul Choudhary, effectively stifling the hosts' scoring opportunities. Despite a solid 30 from Markram and some contributions from the lower order, LSG could only set a target of 165 runs for GT.

Overview of LSG's Innings

After winning the toss, GT captain Shubman Gill chose to bowl first. The Super Giants started their innings aggressively, with Mitchell Marsh hitting a six and a four in a brief 11-run cameo before Kagiso Rabada (1/54 in 4 overs) dismissed him in the second over. Rishabh Pant (18) partnered with Aiden Markram, and together they posed a threat, but Pant fell to Mohammed Siraj. LSG managed to reach 60 runs for 2 wickets within the first six overs.

Krishna's Impactful Bowling Spell

Prasidh Krishna's entry into the bowling attack marked a significant shift in the match's momentum. He claimed the wicket of Aiden Markram (30 off 21) on the last ball of the 7th over. Krishna then went on to dismiss Ayush Badoni (9) and the explosive Nicholas Pooran (19), who had just started to accelerate with consecutive sixes off Rashid Khan. Krishna concluded his remarkable spell with figures of 4/28 by also taking out Mukul Choudhary, which severely weakened the LSG batting order.

Contributions from George Linde (16 off 10) and a surprising cameo from Mohammed Shami (12 off 5), including a six in the final over, helped LSG surpass the 160-run mark. GT's Ashok Sharma also performed well, finishing with 2 wickets for 32 runs.

Gujarat Titans now need 165 runs to achieve their second consecutive victory of the season.
