Kishor Highlights Kanhaiya's Influence in Congress

Prashant Kishor, the leader of the Jan Suraj Party (JSP), has expressed high regard for Kanhaiya Kumar, the national in-charge of NSUI, labeling him as the most influential Congress leader in Bihar. Kishor also pointed out the internal tensions within the Congress party. He asserted that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is intimidated by leaders like Kanhaiya, fearing they might challenge the existing leadership. This statement came in the wake of a protest by the Grand Alliance against the revision of the voter list in Bihar, where Kanhaiya Kumar and Pappu Yadav were prevented from boarding a vehicle by security personnel.

Discussing the incident, Kishor remarked that the RJD does not want influential figures like Kanhaiya to remain active within Congress. He further indicated that Congress lacks a solid base in Bihar and highlighted their reliance on the RJD for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Kishor stated, "This is their internal matter. However, Kanhaiya Kumar is one of the most significant leaders in the Congress party in Bihar... This proves our point that RJD leadership is so fearful of individuals like Kanhaiya that they believe a new entrant could challenge their authority."

He continued, asserting that the RJD would never want such leaders or other prominent figures to be active in Congress... Congress has no foundation in Bihar... They only act according to what the RJD leadership dictates. On Wednesday, during a 'Bihar Bandh' rally in Patna, Kanhaiya Kumar and Pappu Yadav attempted to board a vehicle carrying Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, but security personnel intervened. Footage of the incident shows both leaders being stopped from joining Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, intensifying speculation about rifts within the alliance.
