Historic IPL Debut for Praful Hinge

In a remarkable debut during the Indian Premier League (IPL), Praful Hinge, a young fast bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), made headlines by taking three wickets in his very first over against the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Reflecting on his debut, Hinge shared insights about his strategy against RR's star batsman, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

Strategizing Against Sooryavanshi

Hinge revealed that he had previously dismissed Sooryavanshi with a bouncer in an Under-23 match, prompting him to employ the same tactic again. Anticipating an aggressive approach from Sooryavanshi, Hinge tested him with a bouncer, resulting in a mistimed shot that led to his wicket. "I had bowled a bouncer to him in an Under-23 game and got him out, so I thought it would work again. I wanted to challenge him with the bouncer, and it paid off," Hinge explained during an interview on JioStar.

Training Under Pressure

Hinge emphasized the importance of training against aggressive players like Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen to prepare for high-pressure situations in matches. He mentioned that he mentally simulates match scenarios to enhance his performance. "In practice, they aim to hit every ball, which creates a competitive atmosphere. We bowlers treat these sessions like real matches, putting ourselves in challenging situations to improve our skills," he stated.
