Violence following the elections continues to plague parts of West Bengal, with fresh reports of unrest emerging from the Jamuria area in Asansol. According to reports, BJP workers and supporters staged a protest in the Raniganj region, accusing an individual of attacking a party member. The demonstration quickly escalated into violence, leading to vandalism at the Trinamool Congress (TMC) office in the Roti Bati Panchayat area, which was subsequently set ablaze by the crowd. This incident heightened fear and tension in the locality, prompting immediate police deployment from the Raniganj police station. To prevent further escalation and restore order, central forces were also dispatched. Officials have stated that they are closely monitoring the situation and are actively working to restore normalcy in the area.

TMC leader Mahua Moitra emphasized that the will of the people is paramount, reiterating her commitment to continue the struggle for a secular nation where the Constitution is the ultimate authority. She stated, "The will of the people is supreme. If Bengal wanted the BJP, then it has received the BJP. We respect that. We have fought valiantly on an uneven playing field against unimaginable challenges, and I take pride in my leader and my party for that. We will stand firm for a secular nation and continue to fight where the Constitution is the ultimate truth, not authoritarian majoritarianism. Jai Hind."
