Jersey Numbers Revealed in Honor of Diogo Jota

During a training session on Tuesday, the Portugal national team welcomed the women's squad and revealed the jersey numbers for the upcoming matches. Notably, the number 21, previously worn by the late Diogo Jota, will now be donned by his close friend Ruben Neves. Jota tragically lost his life in a car accident last year. Neves had previously expressed that he feels Jota's spirit within the team during a press conference on Monday. Additionally, Matheus Nunes will wear the number six jersey and is expected to play a role as a right-back. Tomas Araujo will take the number four, while Nuno Mendes will wear number 25.
