Union Minister Athawale Criticizes CJP's Demands for Resignations

Guwahati, Sep 29: On Tuesday, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale suggested that the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) should rename itself to “Istifa Janata Party” due to its persistent calls for resignations from various officials.
During a press conference held at Koinadhora State Guest House, Athawale pointed out that the CJP is currently demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, having previously called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak incident.
"The CJP is solely focused on asking for resignations. They should consider changing their name to Istifa Janata Party," remarked Athawale, who serves as the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment.
Athawale also mentioned that CJP founder Abhijit Dipke has recently entered the political arena, while he himself has been engaged in advocating for Dalits and other marginalized communities for a considerable time.
"Dipke, a Buddhist and Dalit from Maharashtra, has studied in the US and is relatively new to politics. We are aware of the pressing issues facing our nation, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is diligently working to address them," stated Athawale, who is also the president of the Republican Party of India (Athawale).
Discussing Assam's progress, the minister highlighted the significant infrastructure development that has occurred under Modi's leadership.
"The initiatives launched by the Prime Minister have led to enhanced facilities and improved convenience for the residents of the state," he added.
During his visit, Athawale was the chief guest at the inauguration of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan in Chapar, Dhubri district.
He engaged with local residents and elected officials and paid floral tributes at a statue of Ambedkar.
Athawale expressed his hope that the new building would become a hub for social justice, equality, education, and empowerment for marginalized groups.
"I sincerely wish that this establishment plays a crucial role in disseminating Babasaheb's ideals to everyone," he concluded.
