TMC Faces Challenges Amid Political Shifts

While a significant meeting of the INDIA bloc is taking place in Delhi, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is experiencing a major setback. Fourteen MPs have recently met with Bhupendra Yadav, a senior BJP leader and Union Minister. This meeting has raised speculations about potential challenges ahead for the TMC. Notably, Bengal's Chief Minister, Suvendu Adhikari, was also present during this encounter, intensifying the difficulties for former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The recent resignation of senior TMC leader Sukhen Roy has sparked new political speculations following his meeting with five TMC MPs in New Delhi. This development comes at a time when the party is already grappling with internal dissent. After resigning from the Rajya Sabha and the primary membership of AITC, Roy commented on the RG Kar murder case and a rape incident, stating, "The intoxication of power had clouded their (TMC's) judgment to the extent that they believed no one could touch them."




He further noted that for the first time in Bengal's history, the BJP has come to power... with voter turnout reaching an unprecedented 97 or 98%. The party has failed to conduct any analysis regarding this. Ministers, panchayat leaders, councilors, and mayors who have been in power for the last fifteen years have become inaccessible. They have completely disconnected from the ground realities. Our party workers, who have tirelessly strengthened the organization and fought against the Left Front for years, have been sidelined. Instead, middlemen, thieves, and rapists have emerged. This is now coming to light and being broadcasted on television. Who has the biggest house in the village? The panchayat leader.

He claimed that there are swimming pools, exotic birds, and millions of rupees looted. Therefore, I am now demanding that as an ordinary citizen, the new government should investigate all purchases made by hospitals in Bengal over the past five years... a forensic audit should be conducted... Our country has seen a continuous rise in incidents of rape and murder. Nothing could be more heinous in society.
