Political Climate Intensifies in Bihar

The political atmosphere in Bihar is heating up due to the Election Commission's special intensive voter list revision initiative. Pappu Yadav, the MP from Purnia, has urged the public to boycott the voter revision process. He claimed that the Commission operates as an office of the RSS and should be shut down. Yadav emphasized that the public is ready to eliminate anything that threatens constitutional responsibilities. Discussions have already taken place with Congress leaders regarding this matter. He questioned, 'Is the Election Commission a deity?' and declared that a decisive battle is imminent. He stated that they are prepared to sacrifice their lives for the dignity of Bihar and its people.

Accusations Against Pappu Yadav

Pappu Yadav criticized the current situation, stating that the poor and migrant workers in Bihar are being asked to prove their Indian identity. He pointed out that Dalits and Adivasis are being questioned about their nationality, with insinuations about their origins from Nepal or Bangladesh. He expressed frustration over the rejection of essential documents like Aadhaar cards, ration cards, or voter lists, questioning if this is a form of 'voter demonetization' following the earlier currency ban. Yadav described this as an assault on their rights and a war against their identity, asserting that the Election Commission has become a youth wing of the RSS. He announced that a confrontation is planned for July 9, with a complete shutdown of Bihar ordered by Congress leaders.

Sanjay Jaiswal's Criticism of Pappu Yadav

BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal targeted Pappu Yadav, suggesting that he owes his electoral success to the favor of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Jaiswal accused Yadav of historically stealing ballot papers from polling booths to secure his position as an MLA. He questioned why Yadav would expect any electoral fraud now when there were none during the tenure of Lalu Yadav, who is often labeled as the biggest scammer.

Allegations of Vote Manipulation

Jaiswal further alleged that Tejashwi Yadav had strategically fielded a candidate from the backward community to divert votes away from Pappu Yadav. He stated, 'Tejashwi deliberately nominated a girl from the backward community to shift votes and encouraged people from all communities to support Pappu Yadav.'
