He estimated that 90% of women cannot engage in politics without first entering a politician's chamber.

He further remarked that discussions about women's dignity in the Lok Sabha often turn into a joke. Yadav questioned who is responsible for domestic violence and pointed fingers at politicians for the negative perceptions of women, asserting that a culture of exploitation has taken root.

The BJP has demanded an apology from Yadav, condemning his remarks as shocking. BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala expressed disbelief at Yadav's comments, especially during a time when the nation is championing women's empowerment. He highlighted that Yadav's mindset reflects a troubling attitude towards women.

In response to the uproar, the Bihar State Women's Commission has sought clarification from Yadav regarding his offensive statement. The commission's statement indicated that it is taking this matter seriously and is questioning why a recommendation for Yadav's membership revocation should not be made to the Lok Sabha Speaker.
