Political Developments in Bihar
As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, political activities in the state are gaining momentum. Amid ongoing speculation regarding the chief ministerial candidate from the Grand Alliance, Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has confirmed that a decision has been made and will be disclosed according to the alliance's strategy. In an interview, when asked about the chief ministerial face, Yadav stated that everything is finalized and will be revealed in due course.
Tejashwi Yadav expressed his belief that the BJP will claim that Nitish Kumar will be appointed as chief minister post-elections. He suggested that the BJP should obtain a written assurance from Amit Shah that Nitish Kumar will remain in office for five years. He criticized the BJP for its tendency to dismantle alliances with regional parties, citing the fate of Chirag Paswan's party as an example. Yadav remarked that the BJP supporters are unaware of the meaning of 'Iraj,' a Sanskrit term referring to 'Hanuman.'
Responding to controversies surrounding the name of his second child, Tejashwi Yadav addressed comments made by Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraj Party, who questioned when Yadav would pass his 10th-grade exams. Yadav stated, "This does not bother me. A degree does not equate to every quality. Practical life experience is also valuable. I was an athlete... However, regarding degrees, many in our country are unaware of what degree Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds."
Yadav further commented, "If Chirag Paswan aspires to become chief minister, he should state it openly. What is the need for all this drama about 'Bihar is calling'? Has Bihar driven him away for so many years? There should be some rationale. He is elected from Bihar and is a Bihari. Now he claims 'Bihar is calling.' I always say that I do not wish to form a government; I want to develop Bihar. Give me a chance to do so."
