According to police reports, Geeta Yadav was killed in her home on the morning of April 21, 2026. A case was registered the following day, April 22. Surveillance footage captured Bharat Singh leaving the house, which raised suspicions among investigators. As the inquiry progressed, it became evident that the incident was linked to a romantic affair.

Love Story Turned Deadly

The investigation revealed that Bharat Singh had been in a romantic relationship with Surabhi Yadav for approximately five years, having met on Facebook. Their bond deepened over time, with Bharat providing financial support to Surabhi monthly. Despite their desire to marry, Bharat was already married and had two children.

Conspiracy and Execution

When Geeta Yadav discovered her husband's affair, frequent arguments erupted at home. The conflict escalated to the point where Bharat and Surabhi decided to eliminate Geeta. In April, Bharat took leave from the army and visited Surabhi, where they plotted the murder together. On the morning of April 21, Bharat arrived in Bareilly and killed Geeta. He then informed Surabhi about the incident before fleeing the scene. On Friday, police arrested Surabhi Yadav in the Ganna Mill area, where she confessed to her involvement. Authorities are now actively searching for the fugitive Bharat Singh and are optimistic about his imminent capture.
