Raids Lead to Arrests in Khagaria District

In Khagaria district of Bihar, law enforcement officials have dismantled an illegal mini gun manufacturing facility, resulting in the arrest of five individuals. This information was disclosed by authorities on Tuesday.


A collaborative operation involving the Special Task Force (STF), District Intelligence Unit (DIU), and local police from the Muffasil station targeted the weapon production site in Khagaria.


All five arrested suspects hail from the neighboring district of Munger.


Details of the Operation

Khagaria's Superintendent of Police (SP), Rakesh Kumar, informed reporters that a special team was formed following the receipt of confidential information. The team conducted a raid in the Mathar Bahiya area of the district, where the illegal factory was reportedly located amidst dense shrubbery.


During the operation, law enforcement recovered a variety of items including four pistols, one revolver, ten empty magazines, six base machines, eight bicycle forks, two bicep tools, two drilling machines, nine hacksaw blades, twenty-five files, two hammers, and a drilling machine, among other tools used for weapon manufacturing.


An official stated that a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, and an investigation is currently underway.
