Police Seize Heroin in Anti-Narcotics Operation in Nurpur
Significant Drug Bust by Indora Police

In a recent anti-drug operation, the Indora Police Station, part of the Nurpur Police District, successfully confiscated 10 grams of heroin, commonly referred to as 'chitta'. This operation took place on the night of April 6, 2026, when officers were conducting vehicle inspections at a checkpoint near Changrara. During this routine check, a white Alto car (registration number HP 38G-3964) was halted for examination. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered the heroin concealed within the dashboard. The drugs, along with the vehicle involved in the trafficking, were subsequently seized by the police.
Individuals Arrested:
- Kamaldeep (Driver) – 39 years old, hailing from Lahru village, Post Office Lahru, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.
- Jitendra Singh – 32 years old, a resident of Uparla Moch village, Post Office Sunet, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.
Both suspects were apprehended at the scene. An FIR (No. 51/26) has been filed at the Indora Police Station under Sections 21, 25, and 29 of the NDPS Act. The investigation is ongoing to uncover further connections within the illegal drug network.
