Police Seize Heroin and Arrest Three in Indora During Routine Patrol

On January 5, 2026, while conducting regular patrols under the NDPS Act, the CIA Nurpur police received reliable information regarding a white Hyundai Verna (registration number JK-02CF-1088) suspected of transporting heroin near Barrier Chowk, Indora.


In response to the tip-off, the police team acted promptly under Section 42 of the NDPS Act, stopping the vehicle close to the rain shelter at Indora, with independent witnesses present.


Three suspects were taken into custody:



  • Jitendra Singh (40), from Batala, Punjab – the driver

  • Mandeep Singh alias Mantu (30), from Jammu

  • Rajji Bala alias Rajju (20), from Indora, District Kangra


Upon inspection of the vehicle, authorities discovered 34.37 grams of heroin (chitta) hidden in a plastic container beneath the driver's seat.


A case has been filed against the suspects under Sections 21, 25, 29, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act, with further investigations ongoing.
