Police Seal Madrasas Following Recent Violence in Khoda Colony
Madrasas Sealed After Violent Incident
In the wake of the murder of a 17-year-old boy and the subsequent death of the main suspect, Asad, in a police encounter, authorities in Khoda Colony have taken decisive action by sealing two madrasas. The administration declared Asad's residence illegal on Monday. He was accused of fatally stabbing a minor during a dispute.
This sealing operation is part of a three-day verification campaign being conducted in Khoda, Loni, and other areas of the district.

According to police reports, the campaign aims to address properties linked to criminals, government lands, and illegal constructions. To prevent any potential violence in Khoda, a significant police presence, including local police, PAC, and PAF personnel, was deployed on Tuesday. DCP Dhaval Jaiswal stated that the Ghaziabad police are actively investigating illegal properties, particularly in the jurisdiction of the Khoda police station. Two unauthorized madrasas were sealed yesterday, and FIRs have been filed against three individuals associated with these institutions, which were operating without the necessary permissions from the minority affairs department.
The sealing was carried out in the presence of Police Commissioner J. Ravinder Goud, the District Magistrate, and other senior officials at the Rahmaniya Arabia Qasim-ul-Uloom and Sultan Al-Arifeen madrasas located in Popular Vihar. Officials also noted that a third madrasa has been declared illegal. At Rahmaniya Arabia Qasim-ul-Uloom, despite repeated attempts, the gate was not opened. After waiting, the team sealed the premises from the outside. Witnesses claimed that 11 children were inside at the time, but police later assisted in safely bringing them out with the help of a local councilor.

Elias Saifi, the chief secretary of the madrasa committee, stated that the institution possessed the necessary documentation but was not given the opportunity to present it. He mentioned that the madrasa was registered in 2000 and was operational during that time. Only 11 students from outside areas were residing there. District Minority Welfare Officer Kailash Chandra Tiwari reported that a joint report submitted on June 1 by the Waqf inspector, the executive officer of Khoda Municipality, and the Naib Tehsildar found that the madrasas were being operated illegally.
