Police Raid in Gurugram Leads to Arrest of 18 Suspects, Including 16 Nigerians

During a police operation at a farmhouse in Bhondsi, Gurugram, authorities apprehended at least 18 individuals, among whom were 16 Nigerian nationals lacking valid visas. The police reported that these individuals were participating in illegal gambling and an unauthorized alcohol party.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Hitesh Yadav, the police received a tip-off regarding a large gathering of foreign nationals at Elegant Farm B-2, Behlfa Green, Bhondsi, where the property owner and manager allegedly hosted an illicit party.

Details of the Raid

Deputy Commissioner Hitesh Yadav further stated that the party was serving alcohol without a license, and some attendees were found gambling. Authorities seized 24 cases of expensive liquor, 16 cases of beer, and cash amounting to ₹3.2 million from the scene. The suspects are currently being interrogated, and all foreign nationals arrested will face deportation.

The police had received information about the alcohol party taking place at a farmhouse near Behlpa village. Following this, a police team conducted a raid and discovered several individuals, including Nigerians, consuming alcohol and gambling. All foreign nationals were residing in Delhi and Faridabad.

A spokesperson for Gurugram police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.

Legal Actions Taken

An FIR has been registered at the Bhondsi police station against the farmhouse owner, manager, two bouncers, and the 16 foreign nationals under various laws, including the Foreigners Act, Punjab Excise (Haryana Amendment) Act, Haryana Prevention of Public Gambling Act, and sections of the Indian Penal Code.
