Investigation Launched After Gunfire Incident at Wedding

Authorities in Noida have initiated a search for an unidentified individual following the circulation of a video allegedly showing gunfire during a wedding celebration in Sector 93. This information was disclosed by officials on Monday.


The incident reportedly took place on Saturday night at a banquet hall in Sector 93. A 32-second clip circulating online appears to show a person attempting to fire a weapon in celebration, according to police reports. The footage captures the individual trying to shoot but ultimately failing.


Law enforcement has confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against the unknown person at the Phase Two police station, and a team has been formed to apprehend the suspect. The officer in charge, Vindhyachal Tiwari, stated, 'An FIR has been registered against an unidentified individual concerning the circulated video. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in this incident.'


Additionally, police noted that the banquet hall had previously been warned that allowing anyone with a weapon into the premises would result in legal action. It was also mentioned that a separate incident of celebratory gunfire in Noida on November 20 had left a 10-year-old boy injured, leading to the arrest of three individuals.
