Police Operation Leads to Drug Arrest

In a significant move against drug trafficking, the CIA team from Police District Noorpur apprehended an individual found in possession of heroin.


While conducting routine patrols, officers received credible information about a suspect near Durga Mata Temple in the village of Samal, who was allegedly carrying narcotics on a scooter. Acting promptly, the police executed a raid close to the Dharwal Forest Rest House.


Upon inspecting a black Activa scooter (HP-97-A-4222), authorities discovered 11.87 grams of heroin (chitta) concealed within.


The suspect has been identified as:



  • Name: Naresh Kumar (37 years)

  • Address: Village Nagadwan, Post Office Sauhra, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra


Legal Proceedings Initiated


A case has been filed against the suspect under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at the Damtal Police Station. Investigations are currently ongoing to uncover the origins of the drugs and to identify any potential connections to other traffickers.
