Investigation Launched Following Discovery of Animal Remains

Authorities in Thane district, Maharashtra, have initiated legal action against six individuals after the remains of allegedly slaughtered animals were discovered in a forest area. This information was confirmed by a police official on Wednesday.


The remains were spotted by a passerby in the Kanhere village of the Ambernath region, who subsequently informed a local activist associated with a right-wing organization. The activist filed a complaint with the police on Tuesday.


A representative from the Kulgaon police station stated that a team was dispatched to the scene, where samples of the remains were collected for forensic analysis. Preliminary reports suggest that the remains belong to livestock.


Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against the identified six individuals. Investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.
