Police Operation Results in Fatal Encounter

In a coordinated effort between the Noida Special Task Force (STF) and Baghpat Police, an encounter occurred in the Kotwali area of Baghpat involving members of a truck robbery gang. During this confrontation, a notorious dacoit was shot and later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.


The deceased has been identified as Sandeep, son of Satveer, hailing from Bhaini Maharajganj in Rohtak. He was wanted in connection with a truck robbery involving nickel plates valued at approximately four crores, which took place in the Panki police jurisdiction of Kanpur. Authorities had placed a bounty of one lakh rupees on his head.


Sandeep faced multiple serious allegations, including the murder of truck drivers and highway robberies. Reports indicate that he was responsible for the deaths of over four drivers and had committed numerous thefts of trucks.


In total, more than 16 cases of highway robbery and truck driver murders have been filed against him across Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haryana.
