Police Encounter in Bulandshahr: Notorious Criminal Shot Dead
Bulandshahr Police Encounter
In a significant operation, law enforcement in Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh, has neutralized a notorious criminal. The encounter involved the SWAT team, local police from Khurja, and Anupshahr. Upon sighting the police, the wanted criminal, Jeetu Saini, who had a bounty of ₹50,000 on his head, opened fire. In response, the police were compelled to return fire, resulting in Jeetu being injured, and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police Operation Details
The police were conducting checks on suspicious vehicles and individuals early in the morning when they spotted two suspicious youths on a scooter near Dharau post, Khurja Dehat. When the police signaled them to stop, they instead began shooting at the officers and attempted to flee, causing panic in the area.
Confrontation with Criminals
The police pursued the suspects and cornered them near Jhajhar Road. Realizing they were surrounded, the criminals fired at the police again. In self-defense, the police returned fire, injuring one of the assailants, while the other managed to escape under the cover of darkness. The police are actively searching for the fugitive.
Injuries and Casualties
The injured criminal was identified as Jeetu Saini, son of Subhash Saini, a resident of Mohalla Punjabiyan in Khurja Nagar. He was rushed to a nearby community health center for initial treatment before being referred to the district hospital, where he was declared dead. Several police personnel were also injured during the encounter, including SWAT team inspector Mohammad Aslam and head constable Mohit Kumar from Anupshahr, who sustained gunshot wounds. Fortunately, the bulletproof vests worn by Khurja Nagar police station chief Ramphal Singh and SWAT head constable Kapil Nain saved their lives.
Evidence Recovered
From the scene, police recovered an illegal .32 caliber pistol, 15 live cartridges, 14 spent cartridges, and a scooter without a license plate. Jeetu Saini was reportedly the main suspect in a triple murder case that occurred on the night of April 26, 2026, at a gym on Subhash Road in Khurja Nagar. A minor dispute over cake during a birthday party escalated into violence, leading to the shooting deaths of Amardeep Saini, Manish Saini, and Akash Saini.
Ongoing Investigations
Five suspects have already been arrested in connection with this case, while efforts to apprehend other fugitives are ongoing. The police have assured that all suspects will be captured soon, and strict legal action will follow.
