On June 22, 2026, while conducting routine patrols in Kandwal, Bhadroya, Indora, and Damtal, the police received a reliable tip-off near the railway crossing at Village Tamota. The information indicated that Kalpana alias Kappu (27), a resident of Tamota village, along with her sister Gulfam alias Rita (32) and brother-in-law Pawan Kumar (36), from Balagan village, Dasuha tehsil, Hoshiarpur district (Punjab), were involved in selling heroin from Kalpana's home.

Responding promptly, law enforcement officials executed a raid at the identified location, leading to the recovery of 39.14 grams of heroin from the site. The seized drugs were promptly secured by the police.

A case has been filed against the suspects under FIR No. 95/2026, Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act at the Indora Police Station. All three individuals have been taken into custody, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the origins of the drugs and the broader trafficking network.
