Illegal Transport of Fly-Ash in Sambalpur
In Sambalpur, authorities took action on Monday by confiscating 23 dumpers loaded with fly-ash, which were found operating without the required permits. The vehicles were reportedly transporting fly-ash from various industrial facilities in Jharsuguda and were dumping it near Thelkolei Government High School.
Upon receiving a tip-off, police arrived at the scene to inspect the documentation of the dumpers. However, the drivers were unable to present valid transit passes or dumping permits, leading to the seizure of all 23 vehicles.
A formal case (155/25) has been filed at the Thelkolei police station, and investigations are currently underway.
