Police Capture Three Suspected Drug Traffickers in Rajasthan
Significant Drug Bust in Pratapgarh District
In a recent operation in Pratapgarh district, Rajasthan, law enforcement apprehended three individuals suspected of drug trafficking, seizing over 1.2 kilograms of narcotics from their possession.
Authorities reported that the suspects were found with 1203 grams of MDMA, commonly referred to as MD or ecstasy, which has an estimated street value of around ₹1.25 crores in the international market.
According to Pratapgarh's Superintendent of Police (SP) B. Aditya, two of the suspects, identified as Shahrukh Khan and Dilawar Khan, were riding a motorcycle registered in Madhya Pradesh. When the police attempted to stop them, they tried to flee.
Aditya explained that the investigation team managed to apprehend both individuals and began questioning them, but they were unable to provide satisfactory answers. Shortly after, another motorcycle approached, which the team also stopped.
Aditya stated, 'The individual on the back seat of the second motorcycle, Safiullah, fled into the forest, while the driver, Rahim Khan, was found with a polyethylene bag containing 1203 grams of MDMA concealed during a search.'
During interrogation, the main trafficker, Rahim Khan, revealed that the other two suspects, Dilawar and Shahrukh, were ahead to alert him about the police presence, aiming to prevent the drug shipment from being seized.
The police have arrested all three suspects and confiscated both motorcycles. Efforts are ongoing to locate the fourth suspect, Safiullah.
