New Arrest in Buntwal Murder Investigation

On May 27, a brutal murder involving a sword occurred in the Buntwal rural police jurisdiction, leading to the arrest of another suspect on Friday. With this latest apprehension, the total number of individuals arrested in connection with the case has reached 12.


According to a police spokesperson, the arrested individual, identified as Sachin, also known as Sachhu Rotti Gudde, aged 32, is a resident of Puddu village in Buntwal. He was presented in court and subsequently remanded to police custody for further questioning.


Prior to this, law enforcement had already detained 11 suspects related to the incident.


The police reported that on May 27, Rahman and his 29-year-old companion, Kalander Shafi, were extracting gravel in the Erakodi area when they were allegedly attacked with swords by two individuals on motorcycles.


The attack resulted in Rahman's immediate death, while Shafi sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors managed to save his life.
