Police Arrest Young Man in Navi Mumbai with Hydro Cannabis Worth ₹2.78 Lakhs

Significant Drug Bust in Navi Mumbai

In Navi Mumbai, law enforcement officials apprehended a 23-year-old man and seized hydro cannabis valued at ₹2.78 lakhs. This information was confirmed by an officer on Thursday.

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil, utilizing mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent. This technique is responsible for the cultivation of hydro cannabis.

During a routine patrol early Tuesday morning, police noticed two individuals behaving suspiciously under the Jui Bridge in the Vashi area. According to an officer from the Vashi police station, the officers stopped them and conducted a search of their scooter, which led to the discovery of hydro cannabis in the vehicle's trunk.

One suspect was arrested, while the other managed to escape the scene.

An officer stated that charges have been filed against the suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police are currently investigating the source of the seized drugs and the intended recipient of the narcotics.
