In a shocking development from Bhubaneswar, police have apprehended Rakesh Raut, who had managed to stay away from crime for a decade while running 15 shops. However, due to financial difficulties, he returned to criminal activities, with his wife also implicated in the incidents.

Crime News: A startling case has emerged from Odisha's capital, Bhubaneswar. The Cuttack-Bhubaneswar police have arrested an individual who had renounced crime for ten years. During this period, he established 15 shops. However, circumstances led him back to his former criminal ways, with his wife actively participating in the crimes. Following the revelations from the accused, police also arrested his wife.


According to Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datt Singh, the suspect has been identified as Rakesh Raut. He was arrested by the Chandrasekharpur police, where he has around six cases registered against him. Additionally, there are several other criminal cases against him in different police jurisdictions. After his arrest, police recovered eight gold chains from his possession, three of which have been identified by the victims. The police are now working to identify other victims as they investigate the remaining cases.
