On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also participate in a ceremony celebrating the first anniversary of the BJP-led state government.
As part of the agenda, Modi will lay the groundwork for the third and fourth railway lines connecting Sarla and Sason.
A railway official noted, “This initiative will greatly alleviate traffic congestion on the heavily trafficked Jharsuguda–Sambalpur route and foster industrial growth in western Odisha.”
In a significant advancement for Boudh district, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 73-km Sonepur–Purunakatak railway line, which is part of the extensive 301-km Khurda Road–Balangir railway project.
Officials mentioned that this will mark the first time Boudh district headquarters will be linked to the national railway network, facilitating easier access for devotees visiting the Bhairavi temple at Purunakatak.
Additionally, Modi will dedicate several railway infrastructure projects to the nation, including the fourth rail line between Jharsuguda and Jamga, a freight train maintenance facility at Sarla, a subway in the Bamra-Dharuadihi section, and a road over bridge at Jaleswar.
The construction of the fourth rail line is expected to enhance economic development and support industrial activities. The newly established freight train maintenance facility at Sarla aims to improve logistics efficiency, making freight transport more reliable.
