Prime Minister Modi's Two-Day Gujarat Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day trip to Gujarat starting May 26, where he will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for numerous development initiatives totaling more than ₹82,950 crore in Dahod, Bhuj, and Gandhinagar. This marks his first visit to his home state following 'Operation Sindoor'. An official announcement from the Gujarat government indicates that on May 26, he will inaugurate and initiate 33 development projects in Bhuj, amounting to ₹53,414 crore.


Key Projects in Dahod and Bhuj

Later that same day, Modi will attend an event in Kharod, Dahod, where he will unveil projects exceeding ₹24,000 crore, which include significant railway developments and initiatives from various state departments.


Inauguration at Mahatma Mandir

On May 27, the Prime Minister will take part in a special ceremony at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects valued at ₹5,536 crore across multiple departments.


Development Projects Across Multiple Regions

From Bhuj, Modi will launch and lay the foundation for various development projects that will benefit regions including Kutch, Jamnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Ahmedabad, Tapi, and Mahisagar. These projects will focus on essential sectors such as Kandla Port infrastructure, solar energy, power transmission, and road development.


Significant Infrastructure Initiatives

The Prime Minister will oversee the inauguration of 33 projects from the Energy and Petrochemicals Department, Roads and Buildings Department, Water Supply Department, and others. Notable projects include the 220/66 kV Babarzar Substation in Jamnagar and several solar PV projects across Kutch and Jamnagar.


Railway Developments in Dahod

In Dahod, Modi will inaugurate projects worth over ₹24,000 crore, which encompass various railway initiatives, including the Locomotive Manufacturing Shop built at a cost of ₹21,405 crore. He will also dedicate railway works valued at ₹2,287 crore, which include the doubling of key railway lines and electrification projects.


Water Supply and Urban Development Initiatives

To enhance clean drinking water access in Mahisagar and Dahod, Modi will inaugurate four Juth Sudharna Pani Purvatha Yojana projects worth ₹181 crore, benefiting over 4.62 lakh residents. Additionally, he will unveil urban development projects worth ₹233 crore under the Dahod Smart City initiative.


Health and Housing Projects

On May 27, Modi will also inaugurate health facilities, including the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Gandhinagar, and lay the foundation for a new 1800-bed facility in Ahmedabad. Furthermore, he will distribute cheques worth ₹2,731 crore to municipal corporations under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.
