Prime Minister Modi's Strong Stance on National Security

New Delhi: During a recent parliamentary session focused on national security, Prime Minister Modi accused the Congress party of aligning its political agenda with that of Pakistan, suggesting that they are now reliant on issues imported from the neighboring country.

His comments were made in the context of discussions surrounding the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22.

Modi emphasized that Operation Sindoor, India's ongoing military response, is still in effect, asserting that any future provocations from Pakistan would be met with a decisive response.

In a spirited address to the Lok Sabha, he reiterated India's firm stance on counterterrorism, highlighting the success of Operation Sindoor as a pivotal moment in the nation's defense strategy.

"We achieved our target 100 percent," Modi proclaimed.

"On the night of May 9, our missiles struck locations in Pakistan that they never anticipated, bringing them to their knees."

He characterized the operation as a precise strike aimed at the 'navel of terrorism,' referring to the core areas responsible for recruiting and training militants who engage in cross-border violence.

The Prime Minister recounted how the Indian Army promptly communicated its intentions and actions to Pakistan's military, showcasing India's strategic clarity and confidence.

"We were fully prepared and waiting for the right moment, with a clear objective: to eliminate terror and its perpetrators," he stated.

Modi also drew comparisons between Operation Sindoor and the Balakot airstrikes of 2019, noting similarities in tactical execution and clarity.

"Once again, our forces showcased the nation's strength by fulfilling every objective," he remarked.

In response to international critics, Modi asserted that no global leader had urged India to cease its operations.

"Our actions were self-determined and non-acceleratory," he added, noting that the Defence Ministry and armed forces collaboratively developed the strategy.

His speech included vivid accounts, such as reports from Pakistani civilians who were taken by surprise during the strikes.

"They mentioned they were getting ready for work when India struck before they could react," he illustrated, emphasizing the element of surprise.

Modi concluded by reaffirming India's new security doctrine: swift retaliation will be the norm, nuclear threats will not hinder action, and there will be no distinction between terrorists and their state sponsors.

The Lok Sabha session has sparked intense political debate, with opposition leaders questioning the government's intelligence and preparedness.
