PM Modi Prioritizes Youth Welfare Amid Exam Paper Leak Protests

New Delhi, July 23: In response to the ongoing protests regarding exam paper leaks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Thursday that the government prioritizes the "welfare and future of youths".
He announced that the Centre will establish fast-track courts aimed at delivering quick and strict penalties for individuals involved in these leaks, while also cautioning those who threaten the future of young people.
In a message shared on X, PM Modi stated: "Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth! We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard."
He highlighted that this initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Central government to protect students' interests.
Additionally, PM Modi warned: "Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared."
This announcement follows Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda's remarks that the Centre is willing to engage in discussions with all parties regarding the examination paper leak situation. He mentioned that the government has already met with representatives from the protesting CJP and encouraged activist Sonam Wangchuk to conclude his hunger strike and participate in the ‘mainstream dialogue process’.
During a press conference, Nadda noted that the meeting with CJP representatives was conducted in a friendly manner, where the government listened to their concerns and requested them to provide their demands in writing.
"The discussion took place in a very cordial atmosphere. We listened to their views very calmly. I told them it would be better if they submitted their points in writing, and they have done so. We are ready for discussions whenever they ask," he stated, clarifying that no new meeting occurred on Wednesday.
Nadda reiterated the government's desire for a comprehensive discussion on the issue of examination paper leaks, asserting that Parliament is the most suitable venue for developing a long-term policy on this matter.
