Inauguration of New Developments in Jodhpur
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launched the revised UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme. He also flagged off refinery production tankers from the newly developed greenfield refinery and petrochemical complex, a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Rajasthan government, dedicating it to the nation during the event.
During the ceremony, Modi presented appointment letters to approximately 54,000 youths who were recruited across various departments of the Rajasthan government. He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the public, stating that the large gathering during this hot season reflects the trust in the BJP government's efforts. He acknowledged the rich history of valor associated with Rajasthan and emphasized the importance of self-reliance for both individuals and the nation.
Modi highlighted that the newly inaugurated refinery will create numerous job opportunities for the local population, particularly benefiting the youth of Rajasthan. He reassured attendees that the BJP government is committed to completing projects rather than merely initiating them. He noted the swift progress made following a recent incident in the area, showcasing the determination to overcome challenges.
Additionally, the Prime Minister announced that the new airport terminal will enhance tourism, trade, and employment in the Marwar region. He congratulated those connected to Jodhpur and mentioned the launch of a new phase of the UDAN scheme aimed at improving air connectivity to smaller towns and remote areas. He also discussed the upcoming expansion of the metro in Jaipur and efforts to resolve water scarcity in the Shekhawati region.
Modi addressed the ongoing global energy crisis exacerbated by conflicts in Western Asia, stating that India has effectively navigated this challenge through timely decision-making and strategic resource management.
