PM Modi Inaugurates Chenab and Anji Bridges, Flags Off Vande Bharat Express

Inauguration of Key Infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the renowned Chenab Rail Bridge and the Anji Bridge, both situated over the Chenab River. Additionally, he launched the Vande Bharat Express service connecting Katra and Srinagar.
During the inauguration, the Prime Minister emphasized that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are now ready to confront terrorism effectively. He noted that terrorism has caused significant damage, including the destruction of schools and hospitals, affecting generations in the region. Modi praised the unity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in standing against Pakistan's conspiracies, sending a powerful message against terrorism globally.
He referenced Operation Sindoor, stating that exactly one month ago, a decisive blow was struck against Pakistani terrorists. Modi asserted that the name Operation Sindoor would now evoke memories of Pakistan's defeat, as India swiftly dismantled terror structures.
The Prime Minister condemned the recent attack in Pahalgam, asserting that Pakistan has inflicted harm on both humanity and the cultural fabric of Kashmir. He highlighted that the intent behind targeting tourists was to incite unrest in India and disrupt the livelihoods of Kashmir's hardworking populace.
Modi also spoke about the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence, describing it as more than just a modern healthcare facility; it symbolizes India's tradition of charity and compassion. He congratulated the Shrine Board and its Chairman, Manoj Sinha, for this accomplishment.
In his address, Modi outlined the achievements of the Central Government, stating that the BJP-NDA administration has dedicated its 11 years to improving the lives of the underprivileged. He mentioned that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 4 crore individuals received permanent housing, while 10 crore families benefited from the Ujjwala Yojana, gaining access to smoke-free cooking. Furthermore, 50 crore needy citizens received free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh through the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
