A Vision for Youth Development

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a significant message regarding the youth of the nation and the vision of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. He emphasized that his administration is firmly committed to 'youth-led development.' Modi described the past twelve years as a transformative period for the self-confidence of Indian youth. This statement comes as he marks a historic third consecutive term in office, setting a new record in the country's parliamentary history.

The Prime Minister expressed his delight in witnessing Indian youth making strides in various fields, including science and technology, manufacturing, space, semiconductors, and drones.

Strengthening Youth Confidence

In a post on social media platform 'X', he stated, "The NDA government is diligently working towards youth-led development. A key feature of the past twelve years has been the increasing self-confidence of Indian youth in fulfilling their aspirations." With twelve years of Modi's government now complete, he highlighted initiatives like Startup India, Digital India, Skill India, and the Atal Innovation Mission, which have fostered an environment conducive to innovation, entrepreneurship, and business.

He noted, "Today, India stands as one of the leading startup hubs globally, with many success stories being written by our youth, even from small towns and villages." Modi also acknowledged the achievements of young Indian athletes who have brought pride to the nation in various international competitions.

Creating Opportunities in Sports

He remarked, "Moreover, a robust sports environment, improved infrastructure, and increased support for athletes are creating new opportunities for young talents, encouraging them to excel in sports." Modi first took the oath as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, and has become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India since independence.

His second term commenced on May 30, 2019. Following another victory in the 2024 parliamentary elections, Modi took the oath for a third consecutive term on June 9, 2024. On June 10 of this year, he also surpassed the record of 4,398 days in office set by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first elected Prime Minister after the 1952 general elections.
