Operation Sindoor and Its Impact

In the 122nd episode of his monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat', Prime Minister Narendra Modi showcased images of terrorist camps destroyed by Indian armed forces during 'Operation Sindoor' in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). This episode marked the first after the successful execution of Operation Sindoor.

During the broadcast, PM Modi commended the Indian armed forces for their precise strikes on terrorist hideouts, specifically highlighting the camps in Kotli, Gulpur, and the Bimber area of Barnala that were targeted. The Gulpur camp served as a significant base for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists operating in the Rajouri and Poonch regions of Jammu and Kashmir, while the Abbas camp was a central training facility for the group's suicide bombers.

PM Modi stated, 'The precision with which our forces have eliminated cross-border terrorist bases is remarkable. Operation Sindoor is not merely a military mission; it symbolizes our resolve, courage, and the evolving image of India, which has instilled a sense of patriotism across the nation, painted in the colors of our flag. Today, the entire country stands united against terrorism, filled with anger and determination.' He attributed the mission's success to India's domestic defense capabilities, in line with the spirit of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat.'

About Operation Sindoor

Following the collection of credible evidence regarding cross-border links in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, India conducted precise strikes under 'Operation Sindoor' on May 7, targeting nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and POK. These attacks successfully dismantled several camps belonging to terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen, resulting in the deaths of over 100 terrorists.
